Kids Matter Presents Synergy Award to Jennifer and Ryan Palmer

During the 2015 Kids Matter Charity Ball, held at the Hilton Dallas/Southlake Hotel on Feb. 20, Dr. Jennifer and Ryan Palmer were the honorees to receive this year’s Kids Matter Synergy Award. The Synergy Award is presented annually to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of Kids Matter (KMI) by creating the “Synergy” between a new partner and our charitable organization.

After being presented as the newest Synergy Award honorees, Ryan stated, “We want to say […] thank you, thank you, thank you. Jennifer and I are so overwhelmed and very grateful [to receive this award]. We have loved every minute being involved with Kids Matter. We love every day getting to help and give back to kids.”

Ryan and Jennifer Palmer and the Ryan Palmer Foundation have been catalysts in growing programs in the Kids Matter organization, from the Around the Block programs in North Texas to the Literacy Events in 11 states, this power couple has donated over 24,000 backpacks to children throughout the years. Ryan and Jennifer have not only provided young children with the right tools for a bright future in education, but they also donate their time at these events as a family.

Ryan Hunter Palmer is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour, with three PGA Tour wins under his belt. Ryan is currently 28th in the Official World Golf Ranking and will be playing in the Masters Tournament again this year. He and his wife Jennifer were both born and raised in Amarillo, Texas and married in 2002. Dr. Jennifer Palmer had just begun practicing dentistry before deciding to travel on tour with her husband and young children full time. They now reside in Colleyville, Texas with their two children, Mason (8) and Maddy (5).

Jennifer and Ryan started the Ryan Palmer Foundation in 2004, a 501 c(3) Texas non-profit organization.

The mission of the Ryan Palmer Foundation is to promote community involvement and constant focus on the health and education of today’s young people and their opportunity to succeed.

“All we want from the foundation is to give back and to create opportunities for young people like we have had throughout our life,” said Ryan. “It’s my opportunity to give back to children.”
