Kids Matter International Awarded 2022 Platinum Seal from Candid (Formerly GuideStar)

We’re excited to share that Kids Matter International, 501(c)3, has been awarded the 2022 Platinum Seal of Transparency by Candid (formerly GuideStar) for our 6th year!

The Platinum Seal of Transparency demonstrates our commitment to share important information about our charity with the public. Reporting our annual audited financial statements (which verifies that 87 cents of every dollar spent goes back to support our programs), 3 year strategic goals, annual program results, and numerous other key metrics highlights our accomplishments and passion for furthering our mission of serving children living in poverty.

“In accordance with our long-held belief in being transparent about our work,” said Marti Conner, President and CEO of Kids Matter International, “we are excited to convey our organization’s results in a user-friendly and highly visual manner. By annually updating our Nonprofit Profile to maintain our  Platinum Seal, we can easily share a wealth of up-to-date organizational metrics with our supporters, as well as, Candid’s immense online audience.  In order to attain and retain our Platinum level status, Kids Matter International provides the following extensive information on an annual basis to its Nonprofit Profile:

  • Basic contact and organizational information
  • In-depth financial information
  • Staff and Board of Directors metrics
  • Qualitative information about goals, strategies, and capabilities
  • Quantitative information about results, clients served, demographics, and progress toward furthering our mission
  • External Evaluations

By taking the time to provide this information, Kids Matter International has demonstrated its commitment to transparency and to giving donors and funders meaningful data to evaluate nonprofit performance.

GuideStar and the Foundation Center merged in 2019 to form one new nonprofit transparency organization known as Candid. The new organization, Candid, aims to be a one-stop shop for all information on grants, nonprofits and their transparency.
